Hi, Chris here. I’m one of the Studio Artworkers here at instantprint. Designing sticker artwork for print doesn’t have to be complicated. I’ll show you the easiest way to do it in this guide.

What Size Should My Artwork Be?

We offer a huge range of sticker shapes and sizes! Here’s a full list of the sizes we currently offer, included sizes with 3mm bleed. You’ll also need to add 3mm safety zone to each side of your artwork to avoid any important information being trimmed when we cut your product down to size. Here's our bleed guide for more help with that.

Artwork Specifications

Here are a few things to check your artwork for before you upload:

  • All images are set up to 300dpi resolution for high quality printing.
  • Set colour mode to CMYK
  • Add 3mm bleed and 3mm safety zone to your sticker design
  • Your sticker artwork should be a square or rectangle - yes, even if you're printing circle stickers, please set them up as squares, keeping your design central, and we'll take care of the rest

Uploading Your Artwork

When you add your stickers to your basket, you'll be prompted to upload your artwork file. You can also upload this later in your basket.

If your file size is larger than 200MB, you can still send this over to us via WeTransfer after you've placed your order. Send it to us at artwork@instantprint.co.uk with your order reference number as the subject line.

How Do I Check My Proof?

Once you’ve uploaded your artwork, we’ll create a proof for you to approve. This shows you how your artwork will look once printed. If you haven't already, we'll have changed your artwork to CMYK and added 3mm for you. Once you've approved the final design, we'll send it down to print.

One thing we can’t check for is spelling and grammar. Make sure you proofread your whole document before approving the artwork – especially things like contact and event details.

Check out our proofing guide to find out more about what we check and what you can do to make sure your artwork is print ready.
