Our Account Management service was created to help our clients with bespoke orders of products that aren't available through the instantprint website, such as long-run lengths, and also support with larger print campaigns through their direct mail and multi-address delivery services.
Heading up the Account Management team is Sales Manager Yasmin. This week, we shone the spotlight on Yas to find out more about her role, how her career has developed during her time at instantprint and some of her favourite projects she's worked on so far.
1. How long have you worked at instantprint and how has your role progressed/what have you learnt?
I’ve worked at instantprint for 4 years. I started as a Business Development Executive, then moved to Customer Support Executive, Customer Support Manager and now Sales Manager. I’ve taken away so much from each role and worked with areas of the business and on projects that I never expected I would.
2. What does your average day look like?
Every day is different but a typical day involves meeting with our Account Managers to discuss any projects they are working on with our clients, liaising with other areas of the business to review the progress of any projects, meeting with our Head of Sales to develop strategies that allow our team to reach more clients.
3. How does your role fit into the customer’s journey?
I oversee our Account Management teams. That might involve supporting your account manager with any complex requirements you have, assigning clients based on common interests or industry experience and implementing training strategies that allow our team to deliver world-class service.
4. What makes you proud about working at instantprint?
The best thing about instantprint is working in an environment that encourages you to learn new skills and pushes you to work outside of your comfort zone. Working with such a strong team is always great too!
5. Tell us your favourite memory of working at instantprint!
A certain member of my team won’t be happy with me sharing this but a few years ago, one of our account managers had a client due in for a tour of our production facilities. 30 minutes after he left to meet the client, we had a call from the client asking where the account manager was. It turns out the 'client' he was showing around was someone that had come in for an interview!
6. What’s your favourite print product and why?
We love looking at our clients’ artwork, especially when it’s a menu for a new bar or restaurant. Our favourite game is to play 'which option would you choose?'!
7. What’s your favourite project that you’ve worked on so far?
Over the years, we’ve implemented a number of new systems into the business. I’ve worked on a number of projects centred around scoping, testing and implementation of systems into teams. I’m always so impressed by what our technical teams can do!
8. Tell us about your downtime hobbies or a random fact about yourself
A lot of my time (and money) is spent on my pets. I have two border collies and six rats!
