For this client spotlight, we’ve been catching up with the team behind Old Man Staveley’s Coffee Co., Doncaster’s newest coffee shop with deep roots in local history. Nestled in the old Staveley's Decorating Centre, which served the community for over 60 years, this family-run business is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a tribute to a local legacy. With partners Chris and Paul at the helm, they’re bringing the same welcoming spirit and tradition to the café, offering a cozy spot with locally sourced treats and coffee, right in the heart of town.

Tell Us About Your Business!

Who are you, what do you do, what’s your history, where did it all start?

Set in the bustling heart of Doncaster, just a stone’s throw away from the major train station and likes of the French Gate is Old Man Staveleys Coffee Co.

Born into existence just this year, Old Man Staveleys Coffee Co may be the new kid on the block, but what it may lack in length of time open, it more than makes up for with it’s rich history, standout service and delectable coffee.

Family-run painting and decorating firm Staveley's announced it’s closure at the end of January 2018, bringing to an end more than six decades of business in the town.

The traditional West Laith Gate shop had been run by three generations of the Staveley family.

Old Man Staveleys Coffee Co has opened in the premises of the former Staveleys decorating centre in West Laith Gate, taking inspiration in its name from the store which closed its doors after more than six decades.

Situated next door to the Frenchgate centre, the new store offers a variety of coffees, as well as snacks and cold drinks inside a newly developed and colourful lounge and dining area.
