Getting to know all the creative ways our clients use print to get their name out there is one of our favourite things – especially when pets are involved!
This week, we shone the spotlight on pet skincare company, Leucillin, to uncover how they use print to promote their pioneering product around the world.
Tell us about your business!
Pioneers in skincare for pets, Leucillin is a unique antimicrobial to keep your pet’s skin healthy. For use on all first aid, itchy, red and sore tissue or cleansing skinfolds and weepy eyes, Leucillin is skin pH neutral, non-toxic and non-irritant that has been specifically formulated to work in harmony with the body’s own immune system, allowing a user-friendly solution safe for ears, eyes, and sensitive skin for all pets, including birds and reptiles!
Based in Crossways, Dorset, our hard-working team consists of twelve people and our two “spokedoggos” Marco and Jasper. We value all our wonderful retailers from Pets At Home to mobile dog groomers - throughout Europe to Canada, Hong Kong to Iceland, everyone shares in the desire for happy healthy pets.
Which print products have you found the most success with?
We frequently order 1000s of folded leaflets – our preference is the DL finish C-fold uncoated. It’s a lovely handy size with plenty of space for information and visual impact with a natural feel and texture. We give these away at stands, events, training exercises, with point-of-sale products, customer orders and in sample packs.
As well as folded leaflets we regularly order flyers, A3 glossy posters, roller banners, signage and PVC banners, the most recent of which have gone to Midlands Canicross for their winter series of canine sports.
How do you make your customers feel special?
We pride ourselves in offering great customer service and ease of communication. Simply pick up the phone and call if you have a question or query. We, of course, offer email and social media contact but we love nothing more than a good old-fashioned chat with our customers and that is certainly what we value the most about instantprint!
What are your top print tips for other businesses in your industry?
Communication, communication, communication! It’s become a lost skill as so many businesses hide behind their digital or emailing systems, but if the last few years have shown us anything it’s that we are social creatures that value real face-to-face interaction to effectively communicate with customers. More or less any issue, query or grievance can be sorted with the right attitude and personal attention given.
High-quality, beautifully printed literature handed out in person gives us an enormous sense of pride and achievement, it is often the first introduction to our business and product and as such we want to give the best impression possible.
What print have you got planned for Christmas?
We have run a Christmas Calendar Quiz through our social media for 10 years and love that customers look forward to it and believe it or not we like to make it tough!
Quiz questions are always Christmas or animal themed and the prizes are worth winning! We only give great quality and valuable prizes which we would want to win ourselves and that always includes quality printed information about Leucillin, beautifully wrapped as a Christmas gift and sent addressed to the prize winner’s pet, ready to place under the tree for Christmas Day.
