150gsm silk is a classic, affordable paper type ideal for single use instruction guides and has a similar thickness to a takeaway menu. Although only slightly thicker, our 170gsm silk boasts a higher end feel with a similar thickness to posters. Go for our uncoated, writable option for any printed manual designed to be written in or on. 130gsm gloss boasts a high-shine feels similar to the pages of a glossy magazine. Looking for a more premium option? Our 250gsm silk is the thickest stock available for guide book printing. This thickness makes the pages more rigid and less likely to bend or tear - ideal for guides that need to be used over and over.
For your cover, we use a 350gsm for a heavier cover, or writable if you want the cover to be filled in. You’ll also have the option to add a protective laminate in a gloss, velvet or matt finish.
‘Pp’ refers to printed pages.
We print guides and manuals inside pages on our Truepress. The covers are printed separately on our Indigo press or lithographically using our Heidelberg. They’re then stitched together with our StitchLiner.
Guide and manual printing orders approved by 6:30pm will be dispatched for delivery within two working days. Delivery takes a further working day. For example, if you approved your order by 6:30pm on a Monday, we’d dispatch your order on Wednesday and it’d be delivered on Thursday. These delivery times will vary on bank holidays, so please allow extra time when ordering around bank holidays.
You should upload your artwork after placing your order. To do this, complete your order and then email your artwork to our Studio team at artwork@instantprint.co.uk who’ll then set it up for print for you.
